The characteristics of the pig:

Dear brothers, the news of Swine Flu infection is everywhere including our country, and according to official statistics, we have only 7 cases till now. 

I have read an article summarizing a book by a western scientist in which he mentioned facts about pigs. As mentioned in brief in that article, pigs are omnivores; they consume both plants and animals.

Herbivores are the animals that eat plants only, whereas carnivores are meat eaters. Pigs belong to both types, given all Divine creeds prohibited Swine meat.

Furthermore, the characteristics and behavior of pigs are very ugly, for they are very filthy, stupid, and bad-mannered.

For instance, they mate even with their mothers. Not to mention, they mate in front of all other pigs. When a human being develops such bad behavior, and he brags about his wife's beauty while she is wandering around half-naked with him in streets, he becomes like pigs.

The purpose behind prohibiting pork:

Pig's favorite food is filthy things, dead rats and carcasses. Even if you place the pig in a clean place, it will move to the dirtiest spot and wallows in it.

There are worms' eggs in the swine meat that can be dangerously fatal to its eater.

Even if pigs' meat is boiled for an entire hour at 100 degrees centigrade, these worms' eggs will not be dead. They are not dead if the pigs' meat is grilled, for grilling cooks only the  pieces of meat that are on the surface but not the inside pieces.

Speaking of which let me give you this piece of advice: when you want to grill meat, try to make the pieces thin and not thick so that they will be entirely cooked. Grilling thick pieces will cook only the surface, while the inside part is not well-cooked, and thus it will be spoiled in 10 hours. 

Stewing pigs' meat is not enough to kill the worms' eggs. Pig's cells have different kinds of diseases, and dangerous worms live between the folds of its meat. In order to kill these larvae, the meat should be solidified at 30 degrees centigrade below zero or should be boiled for more than one hour.

Allah the Almighty has prohibited this kind of meat for profound wisdom. A man once argued with me saying, "O Ustaz Rateb, be rational", to which I said, "Tell me your point, please", "Why has Allah created the pig, then?" He asked. I answered, "If you have a broom, will you eat it?"

The pig is created for a purpose. Whenever an animal dies, and its body decomposes, it becomes the favorite food for pigs, which save other creatures from the bad smell of its carcass.

Hence, the pig is a cleaning means in nature, so how come we eat it while it is not more than a garbage disposal. Pigs are not food for people, but rather they are created to clean uninhabited regions.

Any incident that takes place on earth should increase man's faith: 

Swine flu is a natural outcome of consuming pigs' meat in the countries where it is eaten. Glory be to Allah, Swine Flu along with the international financial system collapse, the nightclubs shut down and the prohibition of alcohol in Russia and the victory of our brothers in Gaza, are but refreshing doses to Muslims though they took place in different parts of the earth.

Islam is a great religion; it is the religion of the Lord of all Worlds and the religion of The All-Knowing, The All-Aware and The Most Merciful (i.e. Allah). As a believer, you are privileged with doctrinal security, for no incident on earth will shake your Islamic grounds, but rather it will increase your faith and trust in the Noble Quran. 

The lard includes high quantities of bad cholesterol,

and thus the rates of angina pectoris and arteriosclerosis are 8 folds higher in the countries where pork is eaten.

There are 42000 pig farms in a European country, because it is a cheap kind of meat.

In order to elaborate how cheap pork is, let me tell you that if one kilogram of beef is $ 50, then pork is only $ 5. It is the cheapest kind of meat on earth.

Dear brothers, Allah the Almighty allows the lawful (At-Taiyibat) and prohibits the unlawful (Al-Khaba'ith), and pork is included in Khaba'ith.
